In January of 2008 Pluto entered the sign of Capricorn and will remain there until June 14^th. Retrograde motion will pull him back into the mutable male fire sign of Sagittarius until Nov 27 when Pluto reenters Capricorn for 16 years. Capricorn is a Cardinal (forceful) Feminine (receptive) Earth (stable) sign. Pluto is the planet of transformation, reformation, regeneration, metamorphous. This year we will experience a political transformation, the continuation of religious reformation, the strengthening of spiritual regeneration and personal metamorphous (depending where Pluto is in the individual chart).

 Where there is change there is often chaos. Not from the change but from resistance to change which we create. When we go with the flow we find that all is for the better in the big picture. We are being asked to look at the big picture and start laying foundations for the future. Problems such as pollution of our planet, over population, environmental destruction and global warming are all areas we need to get serious about.  There will be a shortage of planets in fire signs (energy) asking us to slow down and contemplate how we can help. There will a shortage of planets in water signs (emotion) to help us stay balanced, during the initial stages. An increase in air signs (intellect) for mental assistance and also an increase in the practicality of earth signs. We are never given anything to deal with unless we have the universal energies to assist us.
